Chavara is preserved in its original and primitive form. This is a House of prayer for formalies and students. It is under the care of CMI prior General House, chavara hills. Kakkanade. Kochi

Kainakari is blessed by the birth of st. Kurikakose eliya chavara
He was birn on february 10,1805 as the sixth child of parents kuriakose and mariyam. He was baptizied on 18 february at st. Joseph church chennamkary. 8 th september 1805 the child kuriakose was dedicated to blessed virigein mary at the marian shrine in vechoor. At the age of five he began his studies in the village school, called kalari under village master called Ashan. When he was ten years old boy to seminary at pallipuram. Not long after the tonsure he received, there was an epidemic in kainakary and surroundings.His loving father, his good mother and his only brother fell prey to the epidemic. As there was no heir in the family
